Doing The Impossible

by Martin Russell on December 25, 2010

This music video shows a man doing the impossible (for me.)

I can’t even imagine being able to do what he is doing.

A mere 20 seconds in I can’t hear it in small enough chunks to do a single bar of it.

But the impossible can happen. It happens by building up from small, small steps, and then discovering what more you can do once you’ve mastered those.

This video shows Manu DeLago doing those steps at the start, but he quickly moves into doing the impossible.

One of personal development guru Tony Robbins’ most famous sayings is that “people overestimate what they can do in one year – and underestimate what they can do in 10 years”.

Ten years ago I was finishing my first year in my new solo medical counselling practice. I still barely knew counselling, let alone internet marketing, network marketing or entrepreneurship. To be where I am today would have been inconceivable – and to do what I do today – impossible!

So right now, take a break.

Play this video. Zone out in the music. And be inspired to do your own impossible.

Follow YOUR passion. Take consistent small steps. Have fun. The impossible awaits.

P.S. Thanks to Dan Vardy for pointing me to this on his eclectic blog.

P.P.S. I just realized this post might seem timely with New Year and those Resolutions coming up. But it’s not about that. My ‘goal-setting’ etc is an ongoing daily process, not an annual deal … but that’s another post.
